I’m Patrice

I create clear, structured literacy support for grades 3–5 teachers through practical tools, thoughtful systems, & classroom-ready resources.

The Heart Behind this Work

I didn’t set out to build a resource business.

I set out to solve a problem I kept seeing.

Teachers who cared deeply about literacy, but didn’t have a clear system to hold it all together.

So I started creating tools that made planning clearer, teaching stronger, and literacy instruction more intentional.

Clock showing the time as 4:30.

WHAT I’VE LEARNED IN THE CLASSROOM

I’ve worked in classrooms, supported teachers, and studied what strong literacy instruction looks like when it actually works.

And I’ve seen what happens when a teacher is doing everything right in isolation, but nothing is truly connecting.

That’s why I created Tales of Patty Pepper.
To give teachers clear systems, meaningful resources, and support that actually moves literacy instruction forward.

Working with structured literacy and Direct Instruction programs has been one of the clearest blessings of my career. After years in the classroom and in school leadership, it felt like an answer to prayer to step into work that allows me to support teachers on a broader scale. What once lived within my own classroom now has the opportunity to reach educators and students far beyond it and I never take that lightly.

MY APPROACH

Seasonal themes are context. Skill progression is the priority.

Teachers don't need more resources. They need a system.

Support looks like structure, not just encouragement.

If your literacy block needs a system, you're in the right place.

Color is basically a personality trait for me.

I believe a strong outfit and a strong lesson plan can both shift the energy of a room.
